People changing

People change over time. This I know. But have you ever, all the sudden, notice that someone in your life has made a major change very rapidly? It seems that I am noticing a lot of family and friends' behaviors and ideas are just not what I recall of that person. Not just one or two either, but several.

Weird.

I just had to blog cause I was tired of the Santa letter being on top.

Hey, if you're here, holler.

Letter to Santa

Santa Claus
North Pole, Earth

Dear Santa,

I have been a good Girl.
It really wasn't my fault what happened at Sarah's Office party. It was Katye who spiked the punch with too much diet coke. I can't help it if I drank 6 glasses. It was so good---smelled and tasted just like pancakes.

I thought it was funny when I put JJ's panties on my head and danced the hip hop on the bed while singing `I Touch Myself'. I didn't mean to break Sarah's i pod and don't know why Sarah would accuse me of Manslaughter.

I don't remember calling Bill's wife a uproarious sheep---even though she looked like one with scarlet eye shadow and tangerine lipstick!

And when I threw up on Diana's husband's elbow, it was only because I ate too much of that lasagna.

After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my Toyota through my neighbor's laundry room. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a silly kitty and have me arrested for carjacking!

So, Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all fresh and fly. And I'm really not to blame for any of this wack stuff. Please bring me what I want the most---bail money!

Sincerely and earnestly yours,
Kym (Really a nice Girl!)

P.S. It's only 71 bucks!

Everyone's doing it....here's the link...

Narnia

Wow! I am sooo glad that I went to see this movie. I was really torn because of the nature of the film and the age of my children. But I am sooo glad that we saw this one on the big screen.

The casting was perfect. Perfect. Everything about the movie was perfectly done, in my opinion. And I felt that my kids were just prime for this movie at this very moment in time. There has been a lot of weapon play lately, and I think this will tap right into that for Greyson. We talked a lot during the movie, and he emoted just where I thought he would. Delaney cried too, just where I expected her to.

Sometimes, there's a little bit of movie magic that doesn't happen onscreen. There was some of that last night. We made a family memory.

Narnia!! Yeah!!!

Three year old with demonic tendencies for rent

Limited time offer. I want him back when he's old enough to do household chores and not be belligerent. UGH. What happened to our golden time? Greyson has been in the most horrible, stubborn mood for daaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys.

It's my BIRTHDAY

Whoo hoo! I am in a great mood today. I was with, and will hopefully soon be with, all of my favorite people.

Last night counts, too.

XOXO

It's Not About

It's not about desire
Not just about desire.
It is about the taking of tongues,
The walking into open
Cavernous mouths of want.
It's about small embers becoming
Sparks becoming flames
Licking up the walls, glowing
Heat in scarlet-toned
Auroras.
It begins with breath.
Chemical reactions feed on themselves.
You and I, just us alone
Make nothing like
The two of us, squared.
It's not about lust, it's not
About desire.
It is about the swelling tide,
the force of will, the
Sum of parts,
The give and take of the
Laws of physics, or the
Laws of the ocean.
This passion just is.
It exists.
Belly to belly with you,
Breath to breath,
Magic happens without
Incantation or spell.
This is not about
Man and woman
Sex
Lust
Desire
Passion
Fire
Fucking, or
Infatuation.
This is about us.
It is about
Love.
