I hope everyone has a safe and happy night. What are y'all doing? I'm going to a party in Columbus at a friend's home. I won't be driving. This is the first year since I became a mom that I'll be kid-less. I don't exactly love that. As much as I love to go to fun parties, I really like ringing in the new year with my kids.
Working my butt off! I have a long-term subbing opportunity going on right now with special needs preschoolers. It's taxing, messy, physically and emotionally challenging, there are hardly any breaks, lunch is messy, I have do deal with bodily excrements, and I absolutely love it!
I have fallen in love....
...with a little boy there. I am planning to apply to be his foster respite care provider, which means that I could have him about one weekend a month to give the foster mama a break. He's soooo sweet and perfect and sad and joyful. I watch him struggle and learn, and I watch him have a better day everyday.
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, yet its 58 degrees today! Gotta dig that!!
