Fun with books

The Many Adventures of Kym, episode 307
It was dry when I woke up. Dry and cold. Snow was forecast, 1-3" to accumulate by 3:00 p.m. That certainly didn't seem like anything to get worked up over.
As the kids and I drove to Tim Horton's to get breakfast and goodies for a staff breakfast, the battery light came on. My interior lights dimmed, and the blinker made a sick kind of sound as I signaled a right hand turn.
JJ said he'd check it out later.
Meanwhile, the morning at school grew snowier and snowier. Afternoon kindergarten was cancelled.
As the day wore on and the snow piled deeper, the decision was made to let the students out early. And, Jay called to tell me that I'd better not drive.
He was on his way!
All staff had to stay to make sure the kids were picked up safely. JJ even walked a group of kids home and helped with bus duty. It was chaotic!
We pulled out of the school parking lot and made it about 50 feet. Stalled dead in the middle of the road, I knew that it was another Adventures episode in the makings!
To make a very, very long story short, my car battery is dead...or the alternator. We don't know yet. We had to jump the car a few times before Jay finally decided to just tow me. The car came off the tether thrice. We had a few friendly neighbors help us out.
It actually took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to make it the 11 minute drive home.
BUT! We are safe and in the house!

Sorry for the non check innage. To say I've been busy is just bullshit since I sit on the internet for at least 2 hours a day. I just haven't had any motivation to post.
I saw Barack Obama on Sunday. Loved it. Probably gave him the Kym Kiss of Death, which is opposite of the Colbert Bump.
Hate winter, can't wait for it to end...when will it ennnnnd?>>>?
