It's nearly one a.m. on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (unless you are looking at it from my perspective, which would make it just very late on the Friday after Thanksgiving). I am on my usual vampire vacation schedule, which translates, in Matthew-speak to "at breakfast you are still asleep, Mommy! And then after breakfast you're asleep, too!"
But everyone else is sleeping now and I'm awake. So why do they act like I'm a lazy slob - we're all sleeping about the same amount, just at different times, so what's the big deal? I just like nighttime better than daytime, what's wrong with that? If they want to hang out with me, they could stay up, right?
Probably not. Part of the reason I like being awake in the middle of the night is the solitude, so nobody can be awake now but me. Why? Because I said so.
I hope everyone in Boston is having a lovely time. At least I cooked what I wanted to cook. And please note that I cooked it all. Hah!
Happy T-day everybody! I am grumpy, sorry for the grouchy post.
Posted by Katye at November 24, 2007 12:50 AMHa! You thought it was meg but NOOOOOO!!! This is your mother speaking.... We miss you and yours. Meg cooked everything too. I am sure that we had the same menu except for the mushroom soup in the broc. casserole. Tony and Erin came too. Teddy is talking up a storm. He has all the cadiance of language and is very understandable. When he doesn't want something he says NANANANANAN. He is saying MAMAMAMA DADADAD. And I like to think he is saying EMEMEMEM. He knows what he wants and gets it out of the toy box after carefully making a selection.
The worst thing is that you all weren't here. We didn't have the wise words of mara or the joyful funny jokes of Matthew. I know that Dan missed Tim and we all missed you, Katye. It will be fun to be altogether in a few weeks. We are looking forward to seeing you at the airport tomorrow. Thanks for taking care of the house and doing all the cooking. I hope there are some leftovers for us to sample. I love t-day leftovers. I have a special hug for everyone. E.
It's been a grumpy holiday here too.
Posted by: Kym at November 24, 2007 04:32 PMHello, my dear sister. I am sorry for taking your parents away--first when you were five and most recently over Thanksgiving. I do hope that in the end having a little sister in the universe has made up for all the bratty things I have done over the years.
I miss you terribly. I know, I know, that means I should move to Nashville. Well, maybe I will, I just don't know yet.
I am tremendously proud of you and happy that you are feeling fulfilled in your job. They are very lucky to have you. As are we (not to mention your in laws). I am thankful for you, my dear.
Posted by: meg at November 26, 2007 08:03 PMHey there stranger! I've been living in the realm of chaos!! Hope everything is going good in TN. I'm sure you would have called to report a Toby sighting....wouldn't ya??...
