You know who else the housing crash is hurting? Me.
Damned bubble. I dunno why we're even bothering to look. Nobody in their right mind is going to approve us for a mortgage with everybody cracking down on people with sucky credit and no downpayment.
I should just be grateful we sold the house in Lancaster. I should be grateful that we sold it for a ridiculously low price that did not even begin to cover our down-payment or the money we put into the new furnace, new roof, new refrigerator and all the work we did. If we hadn't sold it, at pennies-a-capful the way we did, we'd really be sunk right now.
So why do I STILL feel sunk. I complain too much. Sorry 'bout that.
My left ear is completely stopped up. I am still coughing up a lung every five or six minutes and Matthew probably has Fifth's Disease now. Otherwise, all is well.
My car has not caught on fire. So in that respect at least, I am in better shape than Kymmers. She has a house, so in that respect she's better off than me. But I really like my job and I don't think she likes hers much.
I will stop complaining for this round anyway. Here's wishing you wellness, unstopped-up ears and no flaming vehicles of any kind. Sigh.

Posted by: Unca Dan at March 28, 2008 06:47 PMHi honey.
Ears stopped up suck. House hunting REALLY sucks.
Flaming cars suck, but mine is drivable.
I like my job a LOT!!! Lots and lots...I just hate the paycheck. Ouch.
Much love to you.
